Richard

aka Richard

life is adventure

I began hiking in 1983 when I trekked from the birth canal to the fresh Michigan air. Since then, I enjoyed Michigan adventures before venturing to Virginia for school (Liberty), Missouri for graduate school (John Brown via the Kanakuk Institute) and then to my current location in Central Florida.

I’ve taken trips to national landmarks (Glacier National Park in Montana, Zion National Park in Utah, El Yunque National Forest in Puerto Rico, etc); beautiful foreign countries (Guatemala, Haiti, Egypt, Jamaica, etc); local Florida gems (Wekiva Springs, Canaveral National Seashore, various hidden Orlando area parks); and many other beautiful places.

Travel Country employed me for a couple of years, and now I write/edit while working in the non-profit sector – supporting philanthropic endeavors in other parts of Orlando, and the world – while also working on various other entrepreneurial enterprises, and enjoying the marvelous created world. These participations are influenced by faith in God and a trust that life is to be lived with purpose, that everyone matters, and all situations can somehow be used for good.
