Let's face it, Hobie is the world leader when it comes to building kayaks that paddle (and pedal) true and glide long. Once you try a Hobie, you'll be hooked on the quality and committment to planning and design. All that quality comes with at a price, but the New Hobie Mirage Passport tears down that barrier! It comes well equipped for $1,299.
The Passport packs fun into every minute and takes you anywhere you want to go with ease . Every feature is designed with your entertainment in mind. Sail open water or fish the flats. Hobie made sure you can do both thanks to the vertical accessory tube and molded in rod holders.
Experience hands-free pedal propulsion with Hobie’s bioengineered MirageDrive Classic. The MirageDrive ST fins sweep through the water to propel you forward with speed, using the power of your legs. The dual fins allow you to explore in shallow waters and make shore landings a breeze by simply pushing one pedal forward so the fins fold up flat against the hull.
The Hobie Mirage Passport includes an aluminum two-piece paddle which conveniently stowed next to the cockpit via the included bungies.
This allows you to easily secure coolers, stuff sacks, tackle boxes and more using the attached criss-crossed bungie cords.
Steer the kayak with the twist of a simple knob next to the cockpit. The rudder also flips up with the twist of your wrist.
The seat is suspended above the keyak making it easier to pedal and paddle. This higher vantage point is also a big advantage if you're fishing.
